Privacy policy for the application.
This privacy policy applies to Pay Odometer (“the app”, Android package and iOS bundle ID com.insightmyung.salaryticker), provided by Insight & Myung LLC (“we” or “the developer”). The app is distributed by MJH LABS LLC on Google Play and by Insight & Myung LLC on the App Store; this policy applies to both. The app does not require login or account creation, we run no servers for it, and it uses no analytics or crash-reporting tools. The developer does not directly collect or store your personal information. However, as described under “Advertising and Third-Party Services” below, our advertising partner may automatically process some data in order to show ads.
The developer does not collect any information that identifies you, such as your name, email address or phone number. Data processed by third-party services used in the app (advertising) is handled under those providers’ privacy policies, as described below.
The salary and pay type, work schedule, payday, currency and optional accrual start date you enter are stored only on your device (shared_preferences), and slack-off timer records are kept in a local SQLite database on your device. Information needed for the home-screen widget is also stored in the device’s widget storage (an App Group on iOS, the app’s SharedPreferences on Android). The app never uploads this data to the developer or any external server, although it may be included in your operating-system backups (iCloud or Android backup) depending on your device settings. Share cards are generated on your device and shared only when you choose to, through the system share sheet; they show the amounts you have earned and never include your salary itself. Data stored on the device is deleted when you uninstall the app (operating-system backups follow your backup settings).
This app uses Google AdMob to show ads. When ads are displayed, Google may collect and process certain data, such as your device’s advertising ID, IP address and device information, to deliver ads, measure ad performance and prevent fraud. This data is processed under Google’s privacy policy, not by the developer.
The app shows banner ads, an interstitial ad when the app starts, and rewarded ads. For personalized ads, Google AdMob may collect your advertising ID, IP address, device information, approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad interaction data. Users in the EEA and the UK are asked for consent through Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP), and on iOS the app asks for permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT). If you do not want personalized ads, you can choose non-personalized ads in the app’s privacy options (UMP) or change your device’s ad settings (Android: Settings > Google > Ads; iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).
The app offers a one-time, non-consumable “Remove ads” purchase through Google Play Billing or the Apple App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Google or Apple; the developer never receives your card or other payment details. The app receives the purchase confirmation from the store and keeps only a local “ads removed” flag on your device.
The app connects to Google AdMob to load ads (see “Advertising and Third-Party Services” above) and downloads a small public JSON file that introduces the developer’s other apps (cross-promotion) from raw.githubusercontent.com (GitHub). No personal data is sent with the JSON request beyond what any HTTPS request carries, such as your IP address. When you tap contact or feedback, your mail app opens a message pre-filled with the app version, OS version, device model and locale; nothing is sent unless you send the email yourself.
This app is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
